Due to the COVID-19 environment in which we continue to live and in an effort to do all we can to keep our Convention participants safe and healthy, we feel it prudent to limit Convention registration. At this time, we are at capacity and are maintaining a waiting list. If space becomes available we will move people from the waiting list to active Convention registrant status.
To get on the waiting list please contact Nancy Propfe at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have questions, please contact Lisa Steimer at email@example.com or 860-571-7446.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
CABE's Core Policy Manual
CABE's Core Policy Manual is now available all day,
every day to board members and superintendents.
CABE now has The Connecticut Reference Manual of School Board Policies, Regulations and Bylaws, online (“Core Manual”)!
This publication, previously available only by purchase, was developed by CABE to provide guidance to boards of education and administrative staff in the formulation of policy and the carrying out of administrative functions. The manual consists of approximately 450 samples of policies, administrative regulations and bylaws. While these do not represent all the sample policies that are a part of CABE’s Policy Services resources, they provide an excellent sampling of what is available and constitutes a generic policy manual.
The material is presented as a PDF document so all visitors to the site view and print the documents in exactly the same way. Additional samples of topics included in the Core Manual and areas not included are still available to CABE members upon request from CABE’s Policy Service.
Other Reference Material Online
The website provides board members and administrators with the ability to access information needed to make critical decisions without searching through volumes of policy, guides and other related material.
In addition to CABE’s generic core policy manual, you will find a link on each page to the Connecticut General Statutes.
The CORE manual can only be viewed on the member part of the website, and is designed for board members and administrators. It is a password-protected site containing information that board members and building and central office administrators will find indispensable.
Access to the sample policies, administrative regulations and bylaws contained within the Core Manual, is a no-cost value added service to Connecticut school board members and administrators.
