Philip S. Fenster Distinguished Service Award
The CABE Board of Directors established the following criteria for the Philip S. Fenster Distinguished Service Award:
- The recipient shall be a present or past member of a local or regional board of education.
- He/She has had leadership responsibilities both locally and statewide, as a local board chairperson or a chairperson of the local negotiating committee, member of a statewide study committee or commission, a panelist at a statewide or national convention, etc.
- He/She shall be an effective advocate for public education through local control.
The 2023 Philip S. Fenster Distinguished Service Award will be presented at the CABE/CAPSS Convention, November 17, 2023. The deadline for nominations is no later than October 1, 2023.
