Unemployment Insurance
CABE is always looking for ways to increase the value of membership to our members.
CABE and Jon-Jay Associates, a Talx company, have created a special program for member districts which desire to save money for the reimbursement of unemployment expenses. We are offering a one-year subscription to the program for FREE.
The paperwork alone in servicing unemployment insurance benefits for your employees is considerable. This program will reduce the time, effort and expense your staff currently devotes to holding the line on unemployment insurance costs.
CABE has worked with Jon-Jay Associates for many years. It is one of the premier service providers in the industry, servicing hundreds of clients across the United States.
It should be noted that those districts which are already participating in this program have reduced their liability for unemployment reimbursement an average of over $12,000.
The program provides school boards with experts who:
- respond to their unemployment claims,
- review all initial determinations to pay claims for accuracy, protesting those that are incorrect or excessive,
- audit their benefit charge statements to insure that all claimants are paid what they are entitled to but ONLY during those periods within which they should be entitled by law,
- handle all of their claims involving "reasonable assurance" of return to work after a break or vacation period,
- provide unlimited consultation as well as in-person expert representation at unemployment hearings, whether held by phone or at an appeals office within the state.
As a participant in the program, if you enroll during the sign-up period for the one-year FREE service prior to May 1, 2006, you will receive all of these services without charge and with absolutely no obligation to continue beyond one year.
If, at the end of a year of free service, you find it worthwhile to continue in the program, then the regular fee would be charged starting on May 1, 2007.
Attached is a sign up sheet for your no obligation trial membership in the program. If your district returns it to us by May 1, a Jon-Jay representative will promptly call you to arrange to install the program and provide you with the materials you need to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
