ACES is the Regional Education Service Center for twenty-five member school districts in south central Connecticut. CREC (Capitol Region Education Council)
CREC is a non-profit, regional educational service center serving 35 Greater Hartford, CT public school districts. It was founded in 1966 by local school districts working together to solve common problems. Today, CREC administers more than 100 programs and services spanning the entire educational spectrum with the same goal in mind. We work with local boards of education of the capitol region to improve the quality of public education for all learners. In addition to promoting interdistrict cooperation and collaboration, CREC strives to listen and respond to client needs and to provide leadership in the region through the quality of its services. C.E.S. is the regional education service center to 17 communities in southern Fairfield county providing high-quality, cost-effective educational and support services. EASTCONN - where learning comes to life is one of six Regional Educational Service Centers in Connecticut, is a public, non-profit agency that has been serving the educational needs of schools, organizations, communities, and individuals of all ages in northeastern Connecticut since 1980. Headquartered in Hampton, EASTCONN’s 425 employees work in partnership with 36 towns and boards of education to provide a wide range of cost-effective services that include customized professional development, grant-writing, embedded staff support, school operations support, strategic planning, early childhood and adult education services, as well as technology solutions and cooperative purchasing. LEARN
LEARN, a Regional Educational Service Center (RESC), serves 24 school districts in southeastern/shoreline Connecticut. Established in 1967 by local districts, LEARN is one of the six RESCs in the state. We currently serves twenty-five towns and communities with a student population of nearly 53,000. LEARN initiates, supports, and provides a variety of programs and services that may be more cost effective or efficient because of the collaborative nature. LEARN develops special education programs tailored to a variety of student conditions and needs, designs professional development for school staff, offers services to families and young children, delivers technology training and support, maintains an extensive regional audiovisual center, and offers transportation services.
